My plot is running away from me like a yowling banshee.

And I was totally right about it becoming a Gazette fic, ahah.  It's a complete AU though so it's almost like having my own characters.  Except they're awesome.  :P

Unlike some people who are just barreling forward with their word count, I'm staying true to the goal of 1,667 words a day.  My schedule seriously can't afford anything more than that.  I have 3 separate term papers hanging over my head, one which includes reading a 547-page book (that new autobiography, Life by Keith Richards for my "Understanding Music:  Rock" class) and all other sorts of chaotic-ness.  Plus, I'm trying to write a few lines for Lion each day so it doesn't get swallowed up by the madness.  I'm really in love with that plot, so don't worry!  It's definitely going to be updated no matter what!

About the NaNo novel:  a plot is slowly taking shape.  It's funny.  It went from being serious, to crack, to a brief glimpse of serious, followed by more crack.  I'm just rolling with it.  December is for editing (meanwhile my internal editor is screaming at me with a variety of expletives).  I'm not going to really say what the plot is.  Because... I really don't know.  And I don't want to set myself up for anything because I'm just taking this as "writing blindly".  It's very heavy in dialogue though, which I enjoy.  I've always loved reading dialogue because it shows a character's personality and is (when done right) very engaging to read.  So we've got a lot of that going on.

Here's a small (small) excerpt:

Welp.  Off to complete the Day 5 word count.

I think I'm crazy.  Insane, inane, incomprehensible -- and a whole other bunch of "in-" words.

But this year seems right to do this for the first time.  Despite college, midterms, term papers, going home for Thanksgiving and whatever, my heart seemed to want to go along with it.  Basically telling my logic (and common sense) to fuck off.  :P

Plot-wise, I'm just diving into it.  I have no clue what's going to come out of it.  The genre isn't even decided -- I want to go into this full-throttle, totally blind and unsuspecting.  It'll be cool to see what comes out of no planning, outlines or prior thought.  However, I can see this becoming a GazettE-centric REALLY quick.  So, if that does happen, I'll dedicate December to editing it and then I'll post it here.  If I can make the 30-day deadline of doom :D

Anyone else planning on doing NaNoWriMo this year?

Oh, and I'm determined to keep writing/posting chapters of Lion along with this.  It's going to be awesome in a death-defying way :D

Hey guys!  I'm really happy that all of you are enjoying 'Violet Pulse'  -- it's so lovely to get such encouragement!  I'll be sure to finish this piece and put all my effort into it.

However.

An odd-ball of inspiration has struck.

I've never had a big interest in RP, mostly because I thought I wouldn't be able to dedicate myself to that extreme (and I don't think I'm that into the character's minds to, essentially, be them).  But for some reason, I had a nutty idea today.

here lies the idea )

Oh goodness.  When did this happen?  :O
I only have a day (not counting today) left until I make that seven-hour drive up to college.  It's my first year so it's kind of...  awesome-exciting-scary-wtf-YES-how-the-hell-am-i-going-to-do-this.  I'm ahead of some of my friends though -- I know how to do laundry.  However, I did not know that I needed to get my own laundry detergent...  This lovely gem is only one of the lessons that I have learned so far:

Lesson #1:  Vacuum bags will save your life.  I'm talking about those bags you stuff as much crap as you can into and suck all the air out.  I saved like.. at least 4 tons of space with them.

Lesson #2:  Yeah, that TV is NOT going to fit in your car.  Sorry about that.

Lesson #3:  You will find yourself staring at your personal knick-knacks (those see-speak-hear-no-evil frogs, that seashell, that I <3 NY pin) and you will be at a loss of what to bring.  You will keep staring for an hour.  And you will not accomplish anything for that hour.

Lesson #4:  "How come I only have 2 pairs of jeans??"

Lesson #5:  You know you're going to forget something vital.  And that thought is going to stay with you all throughout packing, all throughout stuffing everything into the car and all throughout the drive there.  And it will only be once you arrive at your dorm, that will you pinpoint just what you're missing.

Haha, I haven't even left yet and already chaos is happening!  Ah, I love it though.

Sorry for the ramble, but I found this amusing.
I'll try and update Violet Pulse sometime next week.  As you can tell, I'm definitely going to be busy!!

[お疲れ様。そして今日LIVEに来てくれた皆。ごめんね。本当にごめん。]

Oh, Ruki.  I hope he's not going to be too hard on himself.  The tour is still going strong (Aoi tweeted that they have arrived in Hiroshima) and the true fans understand the unbelievable strain that so many lives puts on a voice.  As long as he's okay, there's nothing to fear :)

A pencil was in my hand.  And I was translating a random Radio Jack.
This is the love child born from it.

...That's a Ruki Pineapple-Hair chibi on top of his head...
(I should just put down the pencil, huh?)

Ah, sorry that this isn't a fic-post!  Though I will be posting some drabble goodness by the end of this week (which still isn't my newest "project"...damn you procrastination), so never fear!  Anyhoo, what I must say is:

Mishima Kazuhiko -- why so awesome!?

I've been following her work for a good amount of time (Love Neco <33) and I just finished reading "Lover's Doll" and HOLY--!  I literally cried.  Which I never really do when reading manga.  It was just that the last two pages seriously killed me:

The story is just so beautiful that I just had to promote it here for anyone who was interested.  Head on over to Manga Fox to read it!
