So.. I've been really terrible at updating. The next chapter of Lion literally sits in my documents, halfway finished, but this irritating little pest called "college" keeps getting in the way. Something called "term papers" too. They are quite rude and don't let you write inane fiction. I swear I'm still writing it though and there will probably be an update in about 2 weeks. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I didn't roll over and die somewhere :D
I did fall in love with a new show though. And I'm dedicating a new meme to it (she has time to do a meme, but not enough to get that damn chapter finished??)

Oct. 2nd, 2010 05:20 pmSo! The last chapter of Violet Pulse is half-way written and will probably be posted next week sometime. It's hard to get time in to write it properly due to college exams and whatnot. But I'm determined to get it done with the care it deserves.
I don't know whether it's because the story's almost over or not, but two major plot bunnies came barging into my room the other day. They would both become multi-chapter stories and one of them I've already written the first chapter for. The other would probably be a longer story and it's in its chapter-outline stage now. I'm not really sure which one to focus on after the last chapter of Violet Pulse comes out.
So, if anyone on my flist is interested, please read the descriptions below and let me know what you want to see :)

Sep. 2nd, 2010 04:15 pmAs you can see from the title, college continues to inspire. I'll be seeing that tonight. No, really, it's an actual "academic event" and not just a beautiful statement, haha.
Lesson #11: You will discover that you can in fact fit 13 people into a dorm room -- with room for more if you count lap-space
Lesson #12: Do not underestimate the rumors of a college's chilly temperatures even though it's 145,000 degrees outside now. You will glance behind yourself in your Sociology class and discover that the room apparently has a fireplace.
Lesson # 13: The hills will kill you.
Lesson #14: You will now assume that the infamous "Freshman 15" are a lie because your nearest dining hall is NEVER open, resulting in a near-mile walk to the closest food establishment.
Lesson #15: Bees will come into your dorm and hide on you. You won't be able to find them. You will look for hours with your equally bee-phobic roommate. And you will sleep with your eyes open that night.
Haha, some of the lessons this time around are a little pessimistic/melodramatic, but I'm seriously having fun here. I don't mean to scare off anyone who will be going to college in the future! College is awesome, especially when your Understanding Music: Rock teacher breaks out the life-size floor keyboard from Playskool. :D

So! All moved-in and really just enjoying being at college. It's everything and more that I expected -- people are so friendly, the landscape is to die for and the events are just awesome. It's only been two full days, but already, I have gained some more lessons that I'd like to impart to you.
Lesson #6: That item you forgot? Yeah, that was your TV remote.
Lesson #7: "Oh, what a nice cat -- NO WAIT IT'S A SKUNK." ***
Lesson #8: The Mentalist/Hypnotist will make you and the whole audience collectively think of Orange Kangaroos that are from Denmark. With just his mind. Yeah. I said it.
Lesson #9: Don't use the fourth sink from the right in the bathroom. It will spray. On you. On your pants. And you will have to walk down the long hall o' shame back to your dorm to change.
Lesson #10: Yeah, when you see your name listed as the title of the free CD that the awesome band you just saw was giving out, you will feel like a rock star.
*** Me and my roommate were outside our residence hall around midnight and we were about to go in when, lo and behold, a friendly creature of the night waddled on up to us.
Okay and the band I'm talking about is Kid Jerusalem. HIGHLY recommended. The CD's title is "Tessa" by the way :D
Anyways, I'm off to bed with my comfy green/blue sheets. I'll catch up with the Jrock meme tomorrow, most likely. Thanks for the warm wishes everyone! So glad I'm here <3

But since I'm scatter-brained and always looking for new projects to drown myself in (see: translating Aoi's spam via Twitter..), I've decided to open up a little community. I'm not expecting it to grow very large, but I'm putting my all into it just the same.

I was scanning through some blog posts and interviews and I noticed that Alice Nine's Tora is a really funny, dedicated and jolly sort of man who can still emit a darker side without appearing too rough. I found him to be very charismatic (he always seems to be the "host", doesn't he?) and he definitely made me gigglesnort from time to time.
I'm always looking for quotes from those I admire, and I figured, "Why not make a little community dedicated to quoting a quote-worthy kind of person?" So, a quote will be added each day and anyone is welcome to suggest new quotes, comment on ones already posted and just have a good time.
